Before I
get started, I would like to introduce you guys to my friend for life, romcom,
just in case you are not really familiar or new with the term “romcom”.
Basically, romcom is a film genre that stands for romance comedy, you know the
drill, amazing romance stories with hints of witty jokes. I’m a romcom maniac,
so I could guarantee that these recommendations are the perfect definition of
romcom, I even got a hard time trying to arrange the postion due to these
romcom being too perfect. So. without furtheradoo, let’s get started on with
the list!
Top 1 – The Notebook
First of all, can we talk about the cast? I mean, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling??? In one movie?! You don’t even have to watch the movie to say that it’s perfect. Everything in this movie was just it. The storyline, the casting, the cinematography, you name it. This story shares about two young lovers, Noah Calhoun, a poor young man with low social status, and Allie Nelson, an uptown girl with wealthy parents and high social status. This story shares about the love story of 2 person with opposite social background, they were madly in love with each other but was seperated by Allie’s parents due to Noah’s social status. This story shares their enduring love, their sacrifices and effort in their relationship, and their heartfelt reunion despite the challenges they face. This story contains lots of romantic and emotional scene, there is one scene that is planted in my brain, the scene where they reunite and gave closure about what has been going on after the seperation, which ends with a romantic kiss in the rain. This is by far, the most romantic and touching movie I have ever watched in my entire life, totally unbeatable. I’ve rewatched it more than 5 times (and cried every single time) and has never gotten sick of it, and never will, this is my “comfort movie”. I almost forgot to mention that this movie has gotten iconic tiktok edits that will totally snatch your heart and attention: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSj8b3oSo

10 Things I Hate About You
Have you ever imagined a romcom about
a freak and a man-hater? Weird combo, isn’t it? But trust me, it will be the
most memorable film you’ll ever watch. The trope of this film is kind of like an
enemy-to-lover trope. It all started because Bianca Stratford made a deal with
her dad about how she can get into a relationship if her sister, Kat Stratford,
gets into a relationship. However, Kat Stratford is a total man-hater, getting
her in a relationship is going to be a tough try. Cameron James, a guy who is
totally into Bianca, created a plan to pay Patrick Verona, a fearless freak, to
date Kat. This film shares the love journey of Kat and Patrick Verona. The first
thing that I noticed about this film is the outfits, I must say that the
stylist has a marvelous taste, every outfit in the film just fits the character
so well. And again, can we talk about the casts??? Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles,
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, you just know that the film is going to be a masterpiece
just by seeing the casts. The most iconic scene is when Kat realized the deal that
Patrick made with Cameron and read the most gut-wrenching, tear-shedding, mascara-removing,
soul-crushing poem that never fails to touch my heart and makes me cry. I can’t
even count how many times I’ve gone back to rewatch this film. Here’s some TikTok
edits of this amazing film:

Days of Summer
I would like to say that this is
the “horror” movie of every romcom lovers. It will totally haunt you, because it
haunts me and is one of the reasons why I haven’t been in a love relationship
in my 15 years of living. The male main character in this film is played by
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who has been an icon of hopelessly romantic man in
romcoms, meaning that the film is obviously going to be a hit. The story shares
the love journey of Tom Hanses, a hopeless romantic, with Summer, a girl who
does not believe in the word “love”. This story was more focused on Tom’s
perspective, telling on how Summer has led him on to believing that Summer was
in love with him while Summer only wanted things to be casual. It shares the
whole experience of Tom with Summer, from how he fell in love in first sight
until his devastating heartbreak after Summer confessed that she only sees him
as a friend even after Tom considered their relationship to be a situationship or
a love relationship because they do things that only couples would do. This
film is the projection of my love nightmare as a hopeless romantic and romcom
lover from a very young age, getting the wrong signal and being led on by
someone I love. There is lots of famous and iconic scene that you guys might have
seen before, or you guys can view it by clicking this link:
There is a hot debate arising in the romcom lover community about this film, “Was Tom actually being led on by Summer?”. I’m going to side with Summer for this topic because Summer has told Tom beforehand that she does not believe in love, and that she doesn’t want to have any serious love relationship. Go ahead and watch the film and tell me what you think about this scorchingly hot debate in the comments section!
Conclusion

will totally spark your me-time. So, go ahead and settle down for these amazing,
